You may recall last year I ended a year and half long project called 100 wednesdays. I enjoyed that project so much that I am taking on another 100 wednesdays challenge for 2015. With this challenge I am changing it up a bit and creating black and white photos for the next 52 weeks. Each Wednesday, I will post my favorite black and white image from the week and talk a little about the process as we go. This image was created from a color image of flowers in my living room. The color was so vibrant that it would be an excellent photo all on its own but turning to black and white you start to see the swirling of the petals and the light and dark throughout the flower and it becomes more intriguing. I have long had a love for black and white photography and have many images in my studio that I have taken and images from other photographers that I admire as inspiration. I also have a pinterest board dedicated to black and white photography where I can go for further inspiration. If you would like to play along this year, I'm starting the hashtag #100wednesdaysbw on instagram. Feel free to post your own black and white images with the hastag and I will follow you. Have a great Wednesday everyone!
