Your Questions Answered: Create Explore Discover
Over the last several weeks, I have been receiving questions about the upcoming Create Explore Discover Art Retreat. I thought you might have a few of these questions as well, so rather than just add them to the FAQ list…here they are:
1. Do I need to stay in the designated retreat hotel or are there other options for accommodation in the Truckee area?
Your retreat experience is always better when you can join the other individuals staying for the weekend. Sometimes however, this is just not possible. We completely understand that and that is why the registration cost does not include your hotel stay. There is a special rate for the retreat at the Cedar House Sport Hotel that includes breakfast (the breakfast is incredible) and the restaurant is about 10 feet away from the main retreat space.
Here is how to contact the Cedar House Sport Hotel: Official Lodging provided by The Cedar House Sport Hotel – rate is $160.00 plus tax per night (10%). To book your accommodations, please call the front desk at 530.582.5655. A special room block has been made under ART RETREAT for October 12 and 13th (departing Sunday October 14, 2012). Rooms include full breakfast buffet served at Stella each morning, free wi-fi, free parking. One night room and tax will be charged upon booking for the deposit. Room reservations are subject to 72 hour cancellation policy. For more information about the hotel, please visit www.cedarhousesporthotel.com .

2. Do you have an option for payment?
There are currently two options for the full weekend registration.
- full payment $730.00
- (4) equal payments of $182.50
Both options include a $150.00 non-refundable registration fee
3. Do you have registration options for locals that do not require hotel accommodations?
There are currently two options for local registration:
Day Pass: $227.00: want to come for the day but may not make it the whole weekend? This pass is the perfect option. It must be purchased for each day you are attending and will include all retreat activities for that day. Excludes: Lisa Congdon and Anne Weil Classes; If you want to take these then the full retreat option is your best bet.
Single Class and Lunch $127.00: can’t make it for all the retreat activities but would like to try out a class and stay for lunch. Includes all single class offerings, snacks and an incredible lunch catered by Stella Culinary.
These options include a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee.
4. What time do classes start each day?
- Morning classes on Saturday: 9am-noon
- Afternoon classes on Saturday: 1-4pm
- Morning classes on Sunday: 9am-noon
5.What is the weather like in Truckee during October?
The weather in Truckee during October can be foggy and cool in the morning and evening and beautiful and sunny in the afternoon. Plan to dress in layers and plan on the occasional snow fall. Our next retreat post will include full information on Truckee.
If you have any further questions about the retreat, please let me know in the comments or send me an email: email@example.com.
Have a great day…
