CED 2013 – On Mistakes

by Sarah

A few weeks ago, I shared this years Create Explore Discover Poster with my audience on facebook and in shops and businesses all over the Truckee Meadows. Over the weekend, it came to my attention that there was an error in the poster with this years date saying 2012 instead of 2013. Thank you to everyone that pointed it out to us and we apologize.

However, with the apology I want to share my thoughts on mistakes and being human. First of all, I have incredible partners with this project and I would not change them for the world. They are honest and kind and have so much integrity in everything they do that I am proud to partner with them year after year. They work tirelessly at their small businesses, as artists, as creatives, as people with real life family issues happening and sometimes we are bound to make mistakes. I am make them everyday, I even made the mistake of not triple checking whether a number 2 had been changed to a number 3.

We are after all, human and that’s the beauty of us isn’t it? A human designed these posters, a human put their love and their creative soul into creating something of value for us to look at and was proud to share it with the world.

We will be retreating this weekend in beautiful Truckee, California and I am so excited to be there with everyone from October 18-20, 2013. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to all my partners, I love you all and to all that are signed up to join us this weekend, I promise a weekend of pure laughter and enjoyment.

All my best,

Sarah
