welcome march

March: In like a lion out like a lamb…….“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”  ~Charles Dickens

(this print available in our shop) (a reminder for us all that the beautiful colors of spring are just around the corner)

One week into the month and I am just now able to sit and write about my goals for the month. Rather than note everything as I normally do each month I am using this time to reflect on life (busy as it may be) and balancing and work and studying….My personal life is out of control busy at the moment and I find I do not have much time to sit and ponder life’s possibilities. If you read my blog in December I may have mentioned that my son Ben got a concussion at school. Three months later we are still dealing with said concussion and are about to embark on 4 weeks of intense physical therapy. It has been stressful to say the least but I have found out so much about concussions that I did not previously know that my hope is to share a little of that knowledge on the blog over the next month or so in order to help you in case you ever run into a similar situation.

Balance: I am a Libra (which is supposed to be the balanced zodiac sign) sometimes I believe that I am out of balance, like right now and wonder how to bring everything back to its normal place….Do you just go with the flow and believe that it is what it is and this is where your life is at the moment?….or do you take the bull by the horns and march on through it boldly to get to the other side? I am not sure, I try it both ways and neither work all the time….I do know, my son’s swim coach looked at me the other night and said I look like I need a vacation without kids…(hee, hee-I wish I could do that-not in the cards right now) I did just get a really cute new hair cut from “The Hair God” as my friends like to call him…let me know what you think….my past year has been spent with the Florence Henderson Flip Look and I have now gone back to my old very short pixie cut (My daughter  says the Laverne and Shirley look)

I am also studying like crazy  for an exam on April 1st. (Thus one of the reasons for my lack of blogging the last few weeks) This is a design exam that I have taken and passed but due to the long lapse in between my working and passing I now have to retake it in order to receive my design license (I did take a portion of the exam last year at this time and passed and thought that would be all I would need to do but things being as they are in my world, I will be taking the written portion again on April 1st)

My classes are coming to an end that I was so involved in during the months of January and February and I will be giving a recap here on the blog so that if you have an interest in any of them I can give you my insight…..(All fabulous and well worth your time)

So how do you business ladies out there balance your personal, social, blogging and creative worlds? I would love to know…..Have a great month everyone and don’t forget if you are interested in joining my monthly business chat please hop on over to see Liz Kalloch and check out our group…..
