welcome june

by Sarah June 01, 2011

June 1st and it is freezing and windy here….and looks like more snow in the mountains. The picture of this stunning yellow rose reminds me of warm days to come….hopefully.

In May, I set up three Summer Sunday’s Classes that you can link to at the top of this page under redlinedesign events. They are local classes that will be held at my home and studio. Work has begun on new logos for the blog, my online shop, and work on website design will be beginning in June. Once they are completed I will share with you here on the blog.

Exciting news, I have an official date and location for create.explore.discover art retreat. The dates are: October 6-9, 2011 to be held at Cedar House Sport Hotel in Truckee, California. A new website, createexplorediscover.com,  will be launched later in June with full registration and event information. Keep your eyes on the blog for launch dates and updates as well…..This event is so exciting for me as it is a culmination of about 25 years in the design profession, teaching and planning. Everything I have learned over the years will be pulled together for this exciting 4 day event. I am currently seeking sponsors so if you or anyone you know is interested in more information please let me know. I am also finalizing the teachers for the event and hope to be able to share them with you on the blog over the next month.

Finally, I am preparing for a booth at the 5th Annual Lavender Ridge Purple Summer Festival to be held in conjunction with Artown July 15-17 here in Reno. The vendor booths are officially sold out and it proves to be a weekend of great fun, music and lavender…..stay tuned….

Hope you have a great month of June everyone and if you want to meet a neat group of creatives supporting one another each month, hop on over to see Liz Kalloch at the Meetup.
