august break: I love…

by Sarah September 02, 2014

Processed with VSCOcam with b5 preset This month I have been sharing some of my favorite prompts and photos from August Break 2014. Today is my last post before returning back to September. The prompt I love…sent me on a trip up to Lake Tahoe and this image. One of my favorite stopping points when we have guests visiting and it never disappoints. Each time I stop I capture the beauty of nature and this lake in a different way.

For those of you who don’t know, this is Lake Tahoe and it is about 20 minutes from my house in Reno.

This photo was taken from the pull off point above Incline Village and looks southwest. The sun’s rays were shining and were captured along the side of the photo. Lake Tahoe is one of the bluest lakes I have seen but transforming the photo into black and white gave me an opportunity to to see shapes of the mountains instead.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!
