app roundup

(photo taken with instagram)

Happy Monday, everyone….Two little apps for the iphone and ipad that I want to share with you today on Design A-Z.

The first one is my new favorite for capturing quick photos with my iphone camera. It is called instagram. The app is free to download and allows you to set up an online pool similar to flickr. Once you have set up the pool you can take photos, adjust the feel of the photo if you wish with any number of retro frames and colors and then send them through any of your social media sites (facebook, twitter etc.) if you wish. If you would like to follow me my tag is: @redlinedesign. Photos are also saved in the camera roll on your phone. I have to thank Susannah Conway of Unravelling fame for introducing me to this fabulous app.

App number 2 is Martha Stewart Living. For me this is the quintessential use of the ipad. You can download the app for free and then you have monthly paid access to all of the Martha Stewart Living magazines. I downloaded the February issue and was so excited that I have shared it with everyone I know. The magazine is fully interactive including behind the scenes video from different photo shoots, live voice interviews within the articles and pages showing chocolate being poured over sundaes….yummy.

Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into my recent finds! have a great Monday everyone.
